Kirk Anderson is an associate at Garteiser Honea, working primarily in the firm’s patent infringement litigation and business acceleration groups. He focuses on patent infringement analysis, drawing on his technical background to help clients protect their software patent portfolios. Kirk is also heavily involved in the firm’s motion practice.

Education and Experience:

Kirk earned his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law where he served as an editor of the Virginia Journal of Law and Technology. He graduated with honors from Brigham Young University where he earned an English degree.

Prior to entering law school, Kirk worked for years in information technology as a Programmer and Senior Linux Systems Administrator.  He developed programming and operating systems expertise as technical co-founder of three startups (e.g. Live View Technologies, which he co-founded in 2004) and tech and legal positions at larger companies (e.g. Hewlett Packard).
